A two-time Black College All-American, Tania Carlton Evans helped Alabama A&M capture Black National College Swimming and Diving championships in 1986 and 1987 during the Lady Seadogs’ run of four consecutive national titles from 1985-88. She competed in the butterfly, freestyle and medley relay events while also earning academic awards in 1986 and 1987. Evans maintained a 3.46 GPA, was crowned Miss Senior and graduated summa cum laude in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
