Alabama A&M Athletics

Nedra Taylor Brown guided Alabama A&M volleyball to seven consecutive SWAC championship appearances, four straight conference titles and four NCAA Division I Tournament berths from 2007-10. She earned SWAC Coach of the Year honors in each of those four championship seasons. Under her leadership, the Bulldogs produced two SWAC Players of the Year, a Setter of the Year, Libero of the Year, Freshman of the Year, two SWAC Tournament MVPs and numerous all-conference selections. Brown also led Alabama A&M’s softball program for six seasons and later served the university as senior woman administrator and acting director of athletics.
