Alabama A&M Athletics

A co-captain and team captain, Ryan Alan Shea became Alabama A&M’s first SWAC men’s champion in the decathlon and established school records in both the pentathlon and decathlon. He also set the pentathlon record at the 2000 Boston University Terrier Classic. At the prestigious Penn Relays, Shea led the decathlon after the opening day and established an event record in the 100-meter segment. An accomplished multi-event athlete, he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education and later earned a master’s degree in physical education from Alabama A&M.
