Alvin M. Grayson served as a pitcher for the Bulldog baseball team from 1958-61. He was Most Valuable Player in 1959, the same year that he pitched the only no-hitter in AAMU history in a game against Allen University. A graduate of Marengo County (Ala.) High School, he entered the U.S. military and served with distinction before being honorably discharged in 1958 and joining the Reserve unit former station at AAMU.
