Nathaniel A. Ogedegbe was recruited from Nigeria to join AAMU’s men’s soccer program from 1981-85 seasons, starting at midfield position.  He served as co-captain in 1983-84 and captain in 1984-85.  In 1984, Ogedegbe was named as one of the 10 Most Valuable Soccer Players in America.  He was a key contributor and brought excitement to a soccer program that was ranked #1 in the nation with an 18-1 record going into the playoffs.  He received the Most Valuable Player honors (1983 & 1984), earned a Silver Medal NCAA (1981), NCAA All-American (1983), and was selected to the Senior Bowl in Tampa, Fla. (1984).   Ogedegbe resides in Leesburg, Va.
